One card a day is the whole practice. Pull it in the morning, carry the line with you, and let tomorrow bring a different one. The deck reshuffles fresh every time it's undrawn, so nothing about the order is decided in advance, the pick is the reading.

The art here is the 1909 Rider-Waite-Smith deck, the public-domain images that built the modern language of tarot. Illustrated by Pamela Colman Smith for A.E. Waite, it's the deck most readers learn on first, and the one nearly every deck since has borrowed from.
